This time in my coverage of Rift, I check out the Oracle as I play the prognosticator cleric. The Oracle is a support oriented soul available in the Dream Souls pack which are the premium souls for the Nightmare Tide expansion. It revolves around situational and static raid buffs; some of which are activated by some of your bread and butter abilities.
This allows for a more flexible approach to buffing and aiding your allies, as you actually have to press buttons to deal damage or heal, and activate your buffs on your allies at the same time. It makes it a lot more fun to play a support role and I believe was done intentionally to help promote playing a different kind of role, one that doesn't quite fit into the usual trifecta of RPG hierarchies.
